As a chapter of The Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc., our purpose is to promote excellence in the art of embroidery, which is defined as the embellishment of woven fabric with decorative stitches done with a needle with an eye.

Chapter News:  

Location Change: The June Night Meeting will be held on Thursday, June 25th at Highland Park Baptist Church, Rm 225

Program Info:  In June the Historical Sampler satellite program will be on orphan samplers.  The Georgetown satellite will have a stitch-in. The Day and Night Meetings will have a program on Copyright presented by Matthew Booth, a local intellectual property attorney. The Bead Bunch beading satellite doesn't meet in the summer.

In July, That Thing in July, the joint Day and Night meeting, will be on July 11.  The Historical Sampler satellite program will be a presentation on Samplers in the Collection of the Oakland County Museum by Paula Fowler.  The Georgetown Satellite will have a program on Stumpwork Beetle Buttons.  The Bead Bunch beading satellite doesn't meet in the summer.
